Like many people, I have to admit that I am not a huge fan of spiders, but I do appreciate the key role they play in the natural world. On a nursery or within a greenhouse, every now and then I come across the tiniest spider hiding within a tulip or busy battling with a blue bottle or even a bumble bee.

This short series in oil is a small homage to them.
